Amaterra is an approximate 1,000 acre tract of beachfront land located in the Trelawny Parish on Jamaica’s northern coast – approximately 10 kilometers to the east of Montego Bay. The site has mountainous cliffs, flat areas for development, and gorgeous beaches – with shallow and protected waters.

TLDI has partnered with the Russell Family (the local Jamaican landowner) to develop Amaterra, starting with the selection of suitable hotel brands for the various developable beachfront parcels. After an exhaustive search for the right all-inclusive operator / brand to complement the Company’s spectacular landholdings, Marriott International was selected in 2019. This resulted in a signed Management Agreement with Marriott for the first 800 room project –making it one of the first newbuild all-inclusive Marriott resorts in the world.

Since signing with Marriott, the Amaterra team has submitted detailed planning drawings for final construction permits and finalized site preparation (including filling of building pads and extension of power supply to the property). Additionally, the team is continuing the master planning of the next four resorts (and associated residences) under other all-inclusive brands offered by Marriott.
